This involves checking contracts, ensuring relevant financial documentation is in place, issuing instructions to our suppliers, voyage/discharge instructions and scheduling liftings and deliveries.

Risk management involves maintaining physical and derivative activities in our reporting systems, assessing the accuracy and validity of mark-to-market, reporting positions and profit and loss, providing analysis where necessary and monitoring pricing exposure, ensuring that hedging is executed in line with our trading teams’ requirements.

Oil analysis

Our trading analysts work directly with our traders to utilise relevant global fundamental market supply and demand factors to evaluate and report a commodities near term, medium term and future value across the barrel.
