Assistant Training Officer - Engineering
Responsible for coordinating and administering the Section 18.1 and 18.2 Engineering Learnership Programme, assisting the Human Resources Department with learner recruitment, selection, and onboarding, and delivering theoretical and workplace training in the Electrical and Rigging section to ensure learner competence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in compiling Engineering Learner SLP targets, considering learner numbers, attrition, and employment equity requirements.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of engineering learners and practical trainees.
- Coordinate learner placements and training schedules across the Training Centre and operations.
- Maintain accurate learner records in compliance with MQA, QCTO, ISO, and Learning and Development policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly learner progress reports.
- Monitor learner feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the planning and scheduling of training activities and ensure the availability of training materials.
- Deliver training and execute activities within the area of responsibility in accordance with legislative requirements and Glencore policies and procedures.
- Participate in the review and continuous improvement of training materials and learnership program.
Minimum Qualification:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Development or equivalent qualification.
- An Assessor Certificate.
- Moderator Certificate will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant Engineering experience.
- MS Office Proficiency
- Driver’s License (Code EB/08).
