Power Market Operations & Settlements Analyst (New York, NY)

Job Description

  • Act as primary point of contact for ISO operational activities, with a focus on settlement validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
  • Validate submitted schedules and confirmed volumes, ensuring consistency with executed trades
  • Provide weekend coverage as needed for scheduling-related activities to support business and operational requirements
  • Perform daily, weekly, and ad hoc reconciliation of ISO settlements, including validation of:
    • Volumes (forecast vs actual vs scheduled)
    • Prices (RT/DAM components, imbalance charges)
    • Settlement charges and adjustments
  • Ensure alignment between ISO data and ETRM:
    • Update actual quantities
    • Reconcile positions and settlement outputs
  • Support daily/weekly ISO settlement cycles and payment readiness
  • Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies and resettlements in coordination with ISO, counterparties, and internal teams
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and controls across settlement and reconciliation processes
  • Support gradual improvement of processes, tools, and automation initiatives (ETRM / Bid-to-Bill / ISO integration)
  • Over time, the role is expected to evolve alongside business expansion, with potential exposure to broader power operations and scheduling activities

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of US power markets, with emphasis on ISO settlement processes
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • ISO portals
    • Settlement statements and reconciliation
  • Experience working with ETRM systems

Preferred

  • Experience in ERCOT (strongly preferred); PJM/MISO a plus
  • Exposure to ISO Virtual Transactions and Congestion Products
  • Experience with TriplePoint CXL is a plus
  • Familiarity with bid-to-bill tools (Adapt2, PCI, OATI, etc.)
  • Understanding of power scheduling workflows and concepts (volume confirmations, e-tagging)
  • Exposure to collateral / credit monitoring in ISOs
  • Experience with FERC and EIA reporting requirements

Compensation

  • The expected base salary ranges from $95K -$125K. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
