Controller (Quality) Snr

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Inspection and Testing - Conduct visual inspections, measurements and functional tests on civil, structural, mechanical and piping fabrications and construction works on and off site.
• Compliance verifications – ensure all construction, fabrication and manufacturing align with quality standards, specifications and procedures.
• Non-conformance management – identify, document and track defects and deviations. Submit NCR’s and coordinate corrective actions
• Document control – compile quality control plans and inspections check sheets. Record inspection logs, test data and quality control packages. Compile quality data books for audits and hand-overs to clients.
• Stakeholder coordination – interface with project managers, contractors, service providers and clients regarding quality performance, status and resolutions.

 About you:

• A diploma in civil or mechanical engineering
• Certificates in construction management, quality control and inspection
• Trade test (Section 26D/ Section 13) will be an advantage.
• At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar position in a construction project environment.
• Knowledge of HSEC systems and safety standards.
• Good communication skills – clear verbal and written reporting is essential.
• Analytical skills – strong problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis on defects.
• Technically proficient – ability to read civil, structural and piping drawings. Experience and knowledge of mechanical process equipment.
• Medically Fit.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport (willing to travel between sites).
