In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Compile accurate plans and schedules for operational unit maintenance activities;
  • Monitor conformance to plans and highlight important variances to management;
  • Verify that all equipment is linked to approved maintenance plans;
  • Keep database of assets up to date;
  • Maintain maintenance system master data;
  • Scheduling of Routine Maintenance Plans for generating work orders;
  • Procurement of resources related to routine maintenance;
  • Monitor and follow-up on distributed work orders;
  • Evaluate and review scheduled work impacted by unforeseen events;
  • Liaise with the stakeholders to obtain updates on progress associated with routine maintenance tasks, and update planning if necessary;
  • Advise on and report to key stakeholders on problems in areas of responsibility relating to the execution of maintenance tasks;
  • Prepare and distribute relevant and appropriate maintenance reports including ad hoc maintenance reports, e.g. performance, failure analysis.

 About you: 

  • Grade 12 / N3;
  • Formal Maintenance Planning Qualification;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in an Engineering field within a mining / plant environment, including four (4) years planned maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of the mining process standards, procedures, safety and legal requirements;
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures and relevant legislation;
  • Working knowledge and experience in computerized planned maintenance systems;
  • Proficiency in English (listening, questioning, summarising);
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, Project & SAP);     
  • Proficient in SAP Planned Maintenance Module and Coupa P2P;

  • Valid driver’s license;
