MARKET RISK INTERNSHIP (3 Months Fixed Term Contract)
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
This internship provides an introduction to how energy products such as oil, gas, and fuel are traded and distributed worldwide. You will learn how global markets and transport routes shape the movement of these resources, and examine the impact energy flows have on economies, industries, and international relations.
As a Market Risk Intern, you'll work directly with risk professionals who manage exposure, evaluate volatility, and keep the business ahead of fast-moving markets.
The risk department is an independent function aiming to monitor front-line trading and ensure that the risk-reward of the trading books is properly understood by Glencore senior management and that the physical exposure of the business – e.g., oil cargoes, electricity generation, gas deliveries – is correctly
valued and risk managed.
