Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for an Concentrator Operator to join the Qld Metallurgical Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.
The Role
Reporting to the Supervisor - Concentrator, your primary responsibility involves you to contribute to the safe production of the Concentrator to the standard required using a comprehensive range of operating skills.
This position is a permanent, residentially based in Mount Isa. The work roster is 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operational areas including tailings processing, concentrate filtering as well as grinding and flotation assets
- Working closely with Maintenance and Metallurgical teams to ensure that set targets are met, and that the operation runs efficiently
- Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Self-motivated and flexible with a high level standard of work
- A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement
- Sound Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a small team
- Milling and Flotation experience is essential
- Control room experience will be highly regarded.
