Newlands Coal is looking for a motivated Human Resources Officer to join our Human Resources Team. Operating as an Open Cut Mine until February 2023, we have now finished coal production and are progressing ahead to new and exciting times. We strive to be industry leaders as we transition to be Queensland’s largest rehabilitation project.

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills who will eagerly accept the many challenges associated with this diverse and rewarding role. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering efficient and effective HR services to all of site

  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll

  • Assisting in recruitment and selection processes

  • Supporting HR Team in the delivery of the Newlands HR Strategy

  • Supporting team in facilitating performance reviews and development plans

  • Involvement in organising entry-level programs such as Vacation and Graduate students

 

Requirements for the role include:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or similar heavy industry

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or relevant knowledge and experience in the Human Resources field

  • Experience in SAP and Workday systems is highly regarded
