Job Description

Reporting to the Environment & Community Manager, you will be responsible for providing continuous technical advice and operational support relating to environmental management and community relations.

About the Role

  • Mining tenement obligation compliance including applications and renewals; reporting; payments and spatial data management.

  • Liaison and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including government, landholders, and the community.

  • Maintain and implement land access agreements, including access agreement requirements for exploration and study teams accessing land under HVO managed exploration licences and assessment leases

  • Maintain awareness of all land and tenement statutory and policy requirements for mining projects

  • Coordination of HVO Ground Disturbance Permit system.

  • Support the implementation of HVO environmental management programs and plans as contained in the EMS

  • Assist with assurance programs  (internal and external) including undertaking environmental inspections to verify controls.

Roster and Location

  • Monday to Friday professional roster

  • Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • High level of interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

  • Previous leadership experience and strong ability to lead diverse teams effectively

  • Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements

  • Exceptional attitude towards safety and ability to drive a high performing safety culture

  • High level computer literacy skills including ArcGIS
