HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD
Reporting to underground mine supervisors, and working in a safe, unique and motivating environment, you will carry out underground development work. Your main duties will be :
- Perform field support, drilling, blasting and other work associated with drift development.
- Operate equipment such as jumbo and bolter (electric and hydraulic).
- Occasionally operate heavy equipment such as shuttle loaders, muck trucks and service vehicles.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Three (3) years' experience as an underground development miner, including at least one (1) year as a mechanized bolting machine operator.
- Understanding of plans and specifications.
- Must be certified to operate development equipment used in a mechanized mine.
- Valid driver's license and general explosives permit.
- Completion of Mining Worker Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.
- Experience as a Sandvik jumbo or jumbo bolter operator (an important asset).
