About The Role:


We are currently seeking a Mine Surveyor to join our Mining Technical Services Team. You will have access to the latest and greatest in DJI UAV’s and Maptek Laser Scanner Technology to provide accurate and timely surveying services to the mine and surface operations.

Reporting to the Lead Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing survey support for daily operations including survey pickups, setting out designs, setting up survey controls, to ensure production targets are met.
  • Undertaking weekly and monthly site mapping updates of the pit, dumps, stockpiles, and site services.
  • Conducting accurate period volume and compliance reports, including weekly dig face updates, end of month stockpile volumes and end of month reconciliation.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the survey processes for the mine site.

 

 

About You:

 

  • Hold a formal qualification in Surveying (Degree or Diploma)
  • Have previous experience in Survey Mining Operations
  • Have demonstrated experience using both MS Office and Mining Software
  • (Preferably Maptek, Vulcan/PointStudio, Pix 4D & Trimble Business Centre)
  • Have experience with Trimble, DJI UAV’s and hold a RePL (highly regarded)
  • Have a proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Your commitment to safety is second to none
