South Africa Graduate Programme
Our South Africa office offer a Graduate Programme aiming to developing the next generation of Glencore professionals. Graduates will be offered rewarding career opportunities in different disciplines in a performance-driven culture.
The graduate program offers the possibility for graduates to understand different functions in our company, as all participants will have the opportunity to work on a variety of roles, participate in internal job rotations, which will offer a broad exposure to our business.
Working together with industry experts, graduates will gain a variety of skills and have real responsibilities to gain a holistic view of our business. Additionally, training programs with best-in-class partners, will be offered to all, in topics that will go from technical skills such as Trading, Traffic, Tinance, Business Analytics, to soft skills like influencing skills, presentation skills and more.
All Graduates will be assigned to mentors, who will be guiding the new joiners in their development path at Glencore. The mentoring program will support new joiners to understand our company culture and to build network across the business.
Participants will have the numerous chances to learn and grow in very successful and fast-growing company.

2024 commercial/trading opportunities
A programme designed to prove your commercial aptitude and test your resilience, an opportunity to hone your skills for a seat at a trading desk as a Commodity Trader. You will provide front-line support to traders and operators primarily within Risk Management, Credit Risk or Analytics, with opportunities to rotate between. Other commercial areas of the business can include Operations, who are responsible for the logistical and financial execution of each trade and Sustainability, a team responsible for keeping track of ongoing and changing developments concerning the energy transition.
Entrepreneurial abilities, accuracy, and strong communication skills are the key ingredients for a successful career in trading at Glencore.

Engineering
On an annual basis, we may offer a range of graduate jobs in engineering, across our North American mining operations.
Trading and commercial scheme
Our oil division runs an annual graduate scheme, based at our New York, NY and Houston, TX offices. If you earn a place, you will work in our trading environments, and in areas such as operations, risk and analysis.
You will go through structured training, potentially leading toward a job as a front-line trader or in another commercial role.
