As our new Health, Safety, and Training Administration Assistant at Ulan West, you’ll be moving into more than a new job.  You’ll be joining a team focused on assisting you in your career direction and growth!

Ulan West is an established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal.

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, this role will work closely with, and assist, the HST Team. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to health and safety procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation

  • Assisting with the logistics and administration of training programs, potentially including scheduling, record-keeping, and participant management

  • Supporting the organization's efforts to comply with health and safety regulations and standards

  • May also include administrative tasks such as scheduling, communication, and general office support related to the HST department

Is this the right opportunity for you?

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Attention to detail

  • Systems experience (Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Suite) will be highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to deliver high quality work in a fast paced, high-performance environment.
