An exciting opportunity awaits for a talented and driven Drill and Blast Mining Engineer to become an integral part of our high-performing team. As a key contributor reporting to the Senior Drill & Blast Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative Drill & Blast solutions that drive operational success across our expansive open cut mine.

This isn’t just a desk job — it’s a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll be actively engaged site-wide, owning the planning and design of all Drill & Blast activities.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Truck & Shovel Production teams, turning strategy into execution and fostering strong on-ground relationships that deliver real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Crafting precise Drill & Blast designs and schedules tailored for operational excellence.
Collaborating across departments to bring your plans to life with seamless execution.
Leveraging your expertise to optimise outcomes while balancing safety, efficiency, and innovation.

What You’ll Bring:

A tertiary qualification in Mining, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role, ideally in open cut mining.
Proficiency in design and scheduling tools such as Vulcan (BlastLogic), Deswik, Spry, or similar platforms.
A proactive mindset — you're organised, solutions-focused, and driven to deliver.
A collaborative spirit with a touch of entrepreneurial flair — you’re ready to take ownership and make things happen.
