Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Mining Engineer leads the Medium-Term Planning Team to produce medium term dig, dump and drill & blast designs and schedules. The role is technical, focussed on process management with one direct report.

You will have a high level of exposure to stakeholders and engagement with all levels of the business and will be provided mentoring and development opportunities to further your career path.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Providing expertise and oversight to optimise mine design and scheduling.

  • Reconciliation of mine design process and conformance to plan.

  • Liaising with various stakeholders regarding short term design and scheduling.

ROSTER AND LOCATION

  • Monday to Friday professional roster

  • Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

ABOUT YOU

  • Formal qualifications in Mining Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in mining operations, with a focus on mine design, scheduling, and strategic planning.

  • Proficiency in mine planning software (Vulcan, Deswik) and scheduling tools (SPRY, Deswik).

  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess opportunities and risks, and the ability to develop actionable insights.

  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
