Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The CHPP is a modern dense medium plant consisting of three modules with multiple conveyors, sizers, screens, water management infrastructure, stockpiles and train loading facility, with a capacity to process 3050TPH.

The Role

Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, this CHPP Technician role requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual. The primary focus of this role will be to safely and effectively operate and assist maintaining CHPP equipment to the standard required to meet target outputs, identify and communicate risks associated with health and safety as well as environmental impacts.

This position is a permanent full-time role, suitable for non-trade or trade technician to work a 7 Day/7 Night - Lifestyle roster. This role provides an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Effectively and efficiently operating and monitoring CHPP equipment to facilitate achievement of CHPP plans and targets.

  • Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.

  • Proactively working with the CHPP team to verify production and other targets are achieved.

  • Be active and creative in wanting to make a difference and continuously improve yourself and the team you will work with, to achieve highest levels of performance.

About you:

  • Possess clean coal stockpile dozer competencies/experience.

  • Possess a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.

  • Able to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

  • Focus on being team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance.

  • CHPP experience including control room, process operations and train loading (desirable however not necessary).

  • Hold a trade certification (desirable however not necessary).
