Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our established and dedicated team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
This site-based leadership position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational delivery of the Engineering and Capital Project functions. The role leads multidisciplinary teams across structural, mechanical, electrical and project engineering to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable asset performance aligned with business priorities. 
You will be responsible for:
  • Providing strong and visible leadership to a multidisciplinary engineering and project team.
  • Delivering the capital projects portfolio safely, on time and within budget in a brownfield environment.
  • Collaborating with operations and maintenance leadership to align priorities and resources across engineering and project activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Australian Engineering Standards.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement and leading initiatives to enhance plant availability, safety, and cost performance.
  • Supporting the development of business cases for major asset improvements and monitoring project progress against KPIs.
  • Managing budgets, reporting and stakeholder engagement for all project and engineering activities.
About You
You are a technically strong and people-focused leader, capable of managing a complex site-based portfolio. You bring a mix of capital project delivery, maintenance engineering and asset management experience, ideally in metallurgical or heavy industrial environments.
You will also have:
  • Degree qualification in Engineering (Engineering Australia recognition preferred).
  • At least 10 years’ experience in engineering, reliability and project delivery in mining, refining, or heavy industry environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing large multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, predictive maintenance strategies and budgeting processes.
  • High-level stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
