Santiago, Chile This position is responsible for leading and optimizing supply chain operations in the region, aligning with Glencore’s global vision. This key role oversees procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and supplier relations, fostering continuous improvement, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.  

OBJECTIVES:


Focused on ensuring comprehensive, efficient, and strategic supply chain management across the region. This key role aims to align local operations with Glencore’s global vision, ensuring compliance with international standards, operational continuity, resource optimization, and stronger relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Execute the regional supply chain strategy in alignment with Glencore Copper’s global vision, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure timely sourcing through effective procurement processes, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Optimize inventory, logistics, and international trade (COMEX), ensuring operational continuity, legal compliance, and cost control.
  • Promote continuous improvement, process standardization, and the use of technology to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Develop high-performance teams by fostering leadership, safety, and commitment to Glencore’s ESG values and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • International and multicultural work experience
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (Spanish and French are a plus)
  • General knowledge of Coupa S2P platform and SAP S/4HANA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
 

EXPERIENCE:


  • Over 10 years of experience in supply chain and procurement, preferably in mining, oil, and gas
  • Strong knowledge of materials management: sourcing, procurement, inventory, and logistics
  • Experience in end-to-end process optimization to improve efficiency, automation, and cost control
  • Ability to lead multicultural teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong skills in negotiation, regulatory compliance, effective communication, and management in complex environments
