Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Main Objectives of the Position
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager - Supply Chain, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring timely transportation of all reagents, goods, consumables, and equipment to site in compliance with DRC regulations and any local procurement requirements. He/She will ensure all required authorisations and permits are timely obtained and inform the business of any upcoming changes to import processes and develop and maintain standard operating procedures for both logistics and reagent management to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- A university degree or higher in Supply Chain and Logistics, or other relevant discipline.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 8 (eight) years of experience of supply chain management with a specialization in logistics, transportation or customs clearance, including at least 3 years in a management position.
- Experience in logistics and a solid understanding of planning, purchasing and warehousing processes.
Required Skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
- Coupa and SAP ERP,
- Fluent in French. Good working knowledge of English is highly an advantage,
- Experience in training, personnel management, departmental planning, budgeting and operations management,
- Strong knowledge of DRC supply chain and customs procedures and practices,
- Knowledge of international freight transportation and customs clearance, and
- Good financial knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the needs of internal stakeholders and verify accuracy,
- Participate in inventory planning based on demand and ensure timely delivery of materials, and reagents,
- Provide month end closing balances and associated costs and spend to the relevant business functions,
- Manage import and transportation expenses in accordance with forecasts and budgets, including reviewing invoices and verifying controls and processes within his/her department,
- Track logistics performance against SLAs and identify performance gaps to develop corrective plans,
- Define and manage KPIs for carriers and customs clearance agencies,
- Develop, update, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for logistics, import/export, and reagents management to drive efficiency and compliance,
- Manage performance through individual performance reviews, clearly communicating performance expectations and addressing performance issues,
- Ensure that HSE policies and procedures are available and comply with applicable legislation, and
- Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
