Position Overview
Reporting to the Concentrator Maintenance Coordinator, the Maintenance Supervisor will:
- Manage, develop, and supervise the maintenance workforce by ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained and able to perform their duties safely and in an efficient manner.
- Establish a safe, transparent and constructive work culture that delivers on the provided asset maintenance plan to meet the required plant asset availability targets.
- Develop and upkeep the plant preventive maintenance program and coordinate maintenance resource scheduling for both scheduled and unscheduled work to reduce downtime while maintaining safe work practices in accordance with applicable legislation and Company policies.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment and systems using test equipment and/or external resources to locate the cause of failure and determine necessary corrective action.
- Manage overall maintenance costs for your area of responsibility to align with budget
Qualifications
The ideal candidates must have:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology with 7 years' experience OR a licensed Industrial Millwright with 10 year of experience both a in mineral processing plant environment (i.e. hydrocone crushers, ball/rod mills, flotation cells, pumps, conveyors, thickeners, mobile equipment, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance supervisory or leadership experience with a firmly demonstrated commitment to safety, strong leadership, supervisor and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated a style of participative management in problem solving, project implementation and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively interface with others.
- Good computer skills particularly using Microsoft Office suite and Mincom Ellipse.
We offer a competitive wage and bonus plan complemented by a comprehensive range of benefits.
Wage will vary depending on experience, education and certification. $90,000-$112,000 annually.
