Glencore is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – SAP Systems support person to join our Brisbane based Regional Enterprise SAP Systems Support function. This is a Monday–Friday office based role and a pivotal position supporting business critical systems across Glencore Metals Australia.

About the role

This role is embedded within the regional enterprise SAP Systems Support team and supports the effective operation, stability, and continuous improvement of SAP and integrated enterprise platforms. You will work closely with the Superintendent, system specialists, business stakeholders, and external vendors to support SAP operations, manage incidents and changes, and contribute to enhancement and transformation initiatives.

 

The role combines SAP functional support and business analysis capability, supporting both day to day system operations and project based activities. You will engage with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, and corporate functions to ensure system reliability, effective change management, and quality service delivery.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support triage, prioritisation, and resolution of SAP and integrated system issues
  • Assist with incident, problem, and change management activities across SAP platforms
  • Support performance against support KPIs including SLA adherence, incident resolution, and backlog management
  • Contribute to business analysis activities for SAP enhancements, upgrades, and improvement initiatives
  • Support ServiceNow ITSM processes, including ticket workflows, reporting, and documentation
  • Assist with change coordination activities, including participation in Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support system fixes and enhancements
  • Maintain system documentation, process maps, and user support materials
  • Support data integrity, system governance, and compliance requirements

 

About you – skills and experience

 

You are a capable and detail focused SAP professional who enjoys working in a structured enterprise environment. You are comfortable balancing operational support with project work and are motivated by improving system performance and user experience. You communicate clearly, manage priorities effectively, and work well with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

 

You will bring:    

  • Solid experience supporting SAP / ERP systems in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and integrated platforms such as Coupa or Concur (desirable)
  • Experience contributing to system enhancements, upgrades, or enterprise projects
  • Understanding of IT service management principles (e.g. ITIL)
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ITSM, including ticketing and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across BAU support and project activities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • SAP, Business Analysis, or ITIL certification (advantageous but not required)
