Human Resources & Payroll - Business Systems Analyst will support the Business by;

  • Responsible for the support and administration of Human Resources and Payroll applications managed and supported by Information Technology & Systems, such as SAP and Workday:

    • Provide Level 1 & 2 support to end users

    • Monitor and maintain performance of the applications

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the applications

    • Identify, build case for change, seek approval and implement improvements

    • Establish and maintain working relationship with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to ensure all requirements are met

  • Driving agreed roadmap, initiatives and projects to achieve the set objectives

  • Provide best-practice HR/Payroll guidance on current processes by analysing business requirements and developing effective configuration solutions evaluating current payroll stream

  • Automate and streamline HR and payroll processes, while also providing greater visibility and control over employee data

  • Conduct system or user acceptance testing to ensure that the SAP HR/Payroll solution meets the business requirements and is functioning correctly

  • Drive innovation

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Business/Systems Analyst supporting enterprise HR/Payroll applications.

  • Advanced understanding of SAP Payroll (PY) including configuration, schema/rule interpretation, testing, and end‑to‑end payroll process knowledge.

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and maintaining SAP PY in a complex enterprise environment.

  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) modules, including business processes, security, and reporting.

  • Understanding of integrated SAP processes, particularly Finance (FI/CO) and HR master data dependencies.

  • Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in fast‑paced environments.

  • Strong ability to analyse business processes, identify optimisation opportunities, and translate requirements into functional solutions.

  • Demonstrated capability to take initiative, drive actions through to completion, and work autonomously when required.

  • Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, including external vendors and implementation partners.

  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

  • Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Self-motivated

  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Information Systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience in identifying and implementing mobility solutions

  • Mining industry experience

  • Knowledge of Human Resources Management and the associated concepts/process

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP Payroll module

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Australian payroll

  • S4 Hana implementation

Skills & Abilities:

  • SAP ECC 6 – HR/Payroll configuration and support.

  • SAP Payroll (PY) – schemas, rules, off-cycle processing.

  • SAP S/4HANA – H4S4, master data, and integration touchpoints.

  • Workday HCM – configuration, business processes, security, and reporting.

  • SAP Fiori – familiarity with HR/Payroll apps and user experience improvements.

  • Power BI – data analysis and report development (advantageous).

  • Efficient communicator to all levels

  • Execution and completion of tasks and tickets within the agreed timeline/priority set by the stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain regular communication to business stakeholders

Change Management:

  • Deliver changes and projects with no or little issues in adherence to established Change Management policies and procedures
