Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Village Superintendent to join our team onsite.

The Role
We are seeking a Village Superintendent to lead the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services across our Murrin Murrin village and aerodrome. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring our workforce enjoys a safe, compliant and well-managed village environment while holding contractors to the highest standards of safety, service, and performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing strong, visible leadership in contractor management, ensuring all work is performed safely and in line with MMO standards and statutory requirements.
- Overseeing village operations including catering, cleaning, accommodation, leisure facilities, and transport services.
- Managing contractor performance through regular audits, inspections, and service reviews, escalating issues as required.
- Developing, monitoring and managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets for Site Services, ensuring cost-effective and efficient service delivery.
- Planning, coordinating, and delivering village projects an upgrades, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely, safe, high-quality, and budget compliant outcomes.
- Ensuring contracting staff are fully aware of MMO’s site safety requirements and standards, actively monitoring compliance, and intervening where work is unsafe.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the safety, quality, and efficiency of village operations.
- Providing leadership, coaching, and development to the Site Services team.
About You
This role is ideal for an experienced leader with a strong background in the mining and resources sector, particularly in the management of remote camps and village operations. You will be highly adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities, and confident in leading diverse teams and contractor groups to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality services. Experience in both operational and project roles will be highly regarded.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Safety, Projects or related discipline (advantageous).
- Diploma in Hospitality (advantageous).
- Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated experience in managing contracting groups, including performance and compliance management.
- Proven leadership capability, with a focus on building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
- First Aid and RSA WA certification, and a current WA “C” Class driver’s licence.
