Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Mine Geologist to join our team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the coordination and execution of geological activities at the Murrin Murrin Mine site.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the mine team to coordinate geology activities across the site to ensure they align with the mine plan and budget
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of geologists and technicians to ensure the delivery of geological services of the highest standard
  • Oversight of the production and development geology function and routine mine to mill reconciliations
  • Ensuring QA/QC meets industry best practice
  • Maintaining and coordinating the drill schedule to meet production requirements, while respecting budgets
  • Support our Team Lead of Geology to drive continuous improvement initiatives whilst providing guidance and leadership to our less experienced technical team.


About you


This role would suit a Senior Mine Geologist with previous experience in Open Pit Mining. You will also have:

 

  • Bachelor of Science (Geology)
  • Demonstrated experience and a sound understanding of geostatistical and geological principles
  • An understanding of arid environment regolith profiles and experience with RC drilling supervision
  • Previous exposure to Vulcan, Deswik, Acquire Systems, and ArcGIS (Advantageous)
  • Have the ability to work across both production and development Geology and willingness to conduct field work when needed
  • A current & valid manual C-class driver licence (essential)
  • Have effective communication skills to mentor, train, and relay technical information and activities to team members.
