The Role
The successful candidate will join a committed technical team, delivering mine design and planning analysis that supports safe, efficient and optimised mining operations.

You will be responsible for:
  • Translate life-of-mine and optimum pit designs into production-ready pit and infrastructure designs
  • Ensure all pit designs comply with approved design standards, tools, conventions and engineering documentation
  • Design and review supporting infrastructure including waste dumps, stockpiles, ROM pads, haul roads and pit stages
  • Communicate engineering designs and execution plans clearly to operational and technical stakeholders
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of the mine through short to medium term planning and design input
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure design activities align with site safety requirements
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that improve mine safety, productivity and operational performance
  • Support the wider engineering team with technical design work and ad-hoc projects as required

About You
This role is suited to a detail-oriented engineer responsible for delivering accurate mine designs that support safe and efficient mining operations.

You will also have:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Strong experience using mining design software such as Vulcan, MineSight, Surpac or Deswik
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to use integrated management systems and business software
  • Solid understanding of mine design principles and engineering documentation standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Ability to work effectively with operational and technical stakeholders across the mining operation
