Senior SAP EAM Specialist
Location: Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, South Africa

JOB PURPOSE:
The EAM Specialist is business-oriented and operates across the organization to ensure that communication flows horizontally to and from upstream and downstream processes and teams. This position operates within a broad community of practice that spans operational, technical and change management groups through regular interactions and must be successful in bringing the right people together and gaining agreement and alignment among them. (S)he is a coach within the information systems organization, acting as a consultant to the consultants.

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership and Strategy: Determine complex business requirements (e.g., Functional and Technical, information needs, business processes) through information-gathering sessions.
- System Configuration and Optimization: Responsible for the configuration of SAP EAM modules to meet business requirements. Optimize SAP EAM processes and system performance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP EAM functionality and integration.
- Global harmonized solution: develop solutions to promote adoption of harmonized ways of working across regions and assets while catering for local processes and jurisdictional compliance items. Negotiate agreement of effective global solutions.
- Process improvement: Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP EAM functionalities. Implement best practices and process improvements paying careful attention to detail.
- Communication and Collaboration: collaborate effectively and provide leadership to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Training: provide training and support to end-users, key stakeholders, and IS teams on EAM functionalities, processes and best practices. Support development of documentation including user manuals, configuration guides, and training materials.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to solution architecture. Continuously enhance skills and knowledge to remain effective in the role
- Responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP EAM solutions.
- Play a pivotal role in the Information Systems organization, working closely with business decision makers and end users to analyse information and document business requirements and map to SAP business processes.
- Support change management activities related to projects, upgrades, and enhancements, communicating changes and benefits to stakeholders to promote adoption and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- SAP Certification.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years’ expert knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Enterprise Asset Management, Fiori apps and at least 3 full cycle implementations
- Exposure to COUPA processes and understanding of integration with S/4 HANA
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP EAM and other SAP modules, particularly, FICO, MM, PS
- Design, implement, and optimization of SAP PM module to meet business requirements and improve material management processes.
- Configure and maintain SAP PM system settings, including consumption-based planning (MRP), goods receipt processing, goods movement (GR/IR), logistics invoice verification, physical inventory, inter- and intra-company stock transfers and internal/external reporting.
- Provide expert-level support for SAP PM issues, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and system upgrades.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure system changes are thoroughly validated and meet quality standards.
- Strong experience in hybrid model of both projects and support environment
- Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL)
- Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and reach agreement.
