Artisan (Rigger)

• Maintaining and inspecting all lifting equipment;
• Maintaining and controlling lifting equipment and lifting stores;
• Assisting and doing general rigging of equipment and materials; and
• Taking charge of all heavy rigging tasks in the plant.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Maths and Science prefarably, N2 with relevant trade subjects or Technical Grade 12;
• Relevant Rigger Trade Test Certificate;
• 3 years post trade experience as a Rigger in a Plant environment;
• Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations covering lifting and rigging practices;
• Sound knowledge of lifting practices for both mobile and static cranes;
• Experience with SAP PM systems is advantageous;
• Good communication skills; and
• Good knowledge of the HSECQ system
