Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Analysis & Modeling
Develop and lead robust financial models to evaluate CAPEX/OPEX, investment decisions, and long-term scenarios. Ensure alignment with corporate standards and deliver sound financial insights that support strategic decision-making. - Cost Management & Benchmarking
Analyze cost structures across regional operations, identify inefficiencies, and propose initiatives for cost optimization without compromising operational effectiveness. Lead benchmarking efforts to ensure competitiveness. - Business Improvement Projects
Lead or co-lead high-impact cross-functional improvement initiatives. Develop business cases, define implementation roadmaps, and measure results post-implementation to ensure value generation and alignment with financial targets. - Budgeting, Forecasting & LOA Planning
Coordinate and lead the LOA (Life of Asset), annual budgets, and rolling forecasts in collaboration with site teams and joint ventures. Ensure timely delivery, accuracy, and strategic alignment. - Reporting & Data Governance
Oversee development and continuous improvement of dashboards, regional financial reports, and consolidation tools. Promote data consistency, usability, and transparency across reporting systems, minimizing manual efforts and errors. - Regional Coordination & Implementation
Act as a bridge between regional functions and site teams, promoting and deploying tools, standards, and practices that enhance operational control, financial visibility, and performance management. - Investment Governance & Business Case Review
Support investment processes by participating in Investment Proposal Reviews (IPRs), validating business cases, and ensuring alignment with corporate financial frameworks and capital allocation criteria. - Process Standardization & Capability Building
Design and roll out standardized templates, methodologies, and tools across sites and joint ventures. Provide guidance and training to ensure adoption, improve data quality, and strengthen analytical capabilities. - JV Engagement & Cross-Functional Alignment
Maintain close coordination with joint ventures and cross-regional teams to ensure consistent messaging, timely budget closings, and alignment of financial narratives and goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, mining, or similar roles.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of performance analysis and cost control.
- Proficient in English and Spanish (oral and written).
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Power BI, SAP, HFM preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
