We are looking for a Traffic Analyst to assist with the logistics and management of commodity shipments, ensuring seamless collaboration among suppliers, buyers, shipping agents, customs authorities, and internal teams. The role involves managing documentation, tracking shipments, handling operational challenges, and ensuring timely delivery of commodities while complying with all regulations and contractual terms.

We are looking for a Traffic Analyst to assist with the logistics and management of commodity shipments, ensuring seamless collaboration among suppliers, buyers, shipping agents, customs authorities, and internal teams. The role involves managing documentation, tracking shipments, handling operational challenges, and ensuring timely delivery of commodities while complying with all regulations and contractual terms.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Act as an intermediary for the Glencore Headquarters in Switzerland and for customers and/or suppliers in Brazil, to facilitate the exchange of information and documents between them.
- Monitor product purchase and sale contracts, checking and tracking shipping dates, necessary documentation, procedures related to foreign trade, reporting non-conformities to the Headquarters and requesting action.
- Issue drafts and final commercial invoices according to the price set based on the contractual terms, informing the departments involved.
- Confirm with the Headquarters the price and quantity variables of the products according to the contracts.
- Monitor payment procedures for purchases and/or sales at the Headquarters.
- Monitor the forecast of quantities and schedule of shipments of imports and/or exports of products negotiated by the commercial area in accordance with the contract.
- Monitor the receipt of contracts signed by the parties and send them to Headquarters.
- Monitor the vessels and their positions on a daily basis.
- Monitor the pricing of contracts in accordance with the established clauses.
- Collaborate with Headquarters to compile the monthly report of contracts that are currently active.
- Prepare reports with information on the market for products in Brazil to support commercial decision-making in the Headquarters and in the commercial department in Brazil.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade will be beneficial.
- 3 - 10 years working experience
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Understanding of international trade, Maritime logistics and Contract Management.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute meaningfully.
- On site working requirements with an understanding of having to work unusual hours from time to time.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English, with a working knowledge of Spanish at an intermediate level
- Focus on details in day-to-day operations and contractual discussions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines.
