Glencore, a global leader in natural resources, is currently offering trade apprenticeships across its Australian Coal Operations, beginning in January 2026. Below, you'll find the available trade options. As you apply, you'll have the opportunity to select your preferred state location and apprenticeship stream:

Auto Electrician (dual trade) – Cert III Auto Electrical / Cert III Mobile Plant Mechanic

Boiler Maker (dual trade) – Cert III Metal Fabrication / Cert III Mechanical Fitting
Our four-year Apprenticeship Program will allow you to develop your skills, experience, and knowledge, and provide you with challenges and opportunities along the way. With onsite, offsite, and TAFE training, our Apprenticeship Training Program offers a great mix. Apprentices interested in higher engineering qualifications will have the opportunity to apply for an Engineering Traineeship at the end of their Apprenticeship Program.
If you are an enthusiastic and motivated person with a commitment to achieve, coupled with a focus on safety, ability to work in teams and good communication skills, we would like to hear from you! Candidates must have completed at least Year 10 by the end of 2025 to be considered. Mature age candidates are also encouraged to apply.

How do you apply?
Complete the online application form specifying your trade preference. You will be asked to upload your cover letter, resume and copies of the last two (2) years of School reports, TAFE or University results or evidence of work related training (for mature age candidates).
Please note that the selection process will include testing, an interview, and a health assessment.
