Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an Environment & Community Officer to join our team for a 12-month duration. Reporting to the Environment & Community Manager, you will be responsible for;

  • Providing technical advice and operational support relating to environmental management and community relations for the Ravensworth Complex.

  • Supporting the maintenance of the Environmental Management System and compliance reporting.

  • Providing advice to operational areas on improvement opportunities, project management and participation in monitoring systems.

About you

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sound understanding of the environment and community aspects of the mining industry, along with a working knowledge of NSW legislative requirements. You will also have;

  • Relevant experience and working knowledge of NSW legislative requirements.

  • Possess excellent communication and computer skills.

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering or similar.
