Manager Mining (Kroondal)

In this role you will be responsible for:   

• Reporting to the General Manager – Western Mines Kroondal, the incumbent will be responsible for providing a dedicated overall Mining service to Kroondal.
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives
• Have an exceptional commitment towards ensuring that departmental HSEC objectives are met.
• Ensure that production targets are met according to specified standards, policies, and procedures.
• Effective planning of short- and medium-term production activities to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
• Financial expenditure within agreed parameters
• Ensure that materials and supplies are available for production processes.
• Maintaining discipline within agreed parameters, policies, and procedures
• Complying with legal requirements

About you:

• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Metalliferous Mines
• 5 Years’ experience in a management position at an underground metalliferous mine
• Previous trackless mining experience will be advantageous.
• Ability to work successfully as part of a diverse team.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Managing mine team optimization
• Managing mine employee relations
• Good communication skills
• Managing mine administration
• Strong leadership, managerial and presentation skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Medically fit to work underground.
