Cleaner (Metal)

In this role you will be responsible for:

Preparing ingots for breaking in order to ensure that the ingot is broken down to a more manageable size in order to load it onto dump trucks;
Ensuring metal is cold and clean in order to ensure that metal can be tipped into breaking bin and then processed;
Ensuring all broken metal is properly cleaned by picking slag from the picking belt in order to ensure that the product quality is met;
Performing housekeeping on the breaking floor daily and carry out inspection prior and post to every shift;
Carrying out work in a safe manner by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures and reporting all sub-standard conditions to immediate supervisor;
Reporting maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor;
Cleaning the pit;
Adhering to all HSEC requirements to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures; and
Performing any other work related duties per supervisor’s instruction.
